![]() The togetherness is what makes those games fun.""Ī: It’s co-op, offline. "LEGO game having online co-op? Parsons (Arthur Parsons, Creative Director), " No, we focus on offline co-op. ![]() If they haven't done it by now, they'll never do it.Ībout 2/3 of the way down the page. You would think in 3 1/2 years and 6, yes, exactly half of their licensed Lego releases, they would have put it in. The last game to have online was Potter 1 in 2010. Ugh, this does not bode well for local coop in generalĪs far as online in Lego games, I repeat, TT Games has stated (just recently actually) that that functionality is not the focus when creating Lego games. If nothing else, maybe they'll be more aware of the desire for said feature for future LEGO games.ĮDIT: apparently Trine 2 has the same problem. Read the forums on every single Lego game for both the 360 and PS3, and you will see multiple postings about freezes and glitches. I've tested these two specific instances on three different consoles, and on every single one, the game froze. Has this been fixed? No.Īnd it's not the console. Seriously?Īnd in Star Wars: The Complete Saga also on the 360. I shouldn't have to turn off Vibration and Bloom to get a game to stop freezing. Hell, consoles still freeze in Star Wars II on the 360 if you escape the Death Star II and you have certain options turned on. even post patch, people were still having glitches and freezes. They did with Lord of the Rings about four months after release. I actually take back the comment saying that they never patch a game. TT Games makes great games, but based on their history, I have no faith in them whatsoever when it comes to actually dealing with the glitches and issues in pretty much all of their games. I'm not pessimistic by nature, but when a developer says with just about every game they create they'll look into it but never do, yes, I have a pessimistic attitude towards that. Like I said, I'm optimistic, but I'm expecting nothing. You're a really pessimistic person, aren't you? I still think a response saying they'll look at it is better than no response at all. Also, there is another issue that they said would be fixed in an upcoming patch, so they do seem to be patching this gen. They've already patched Lego marvel once, and that was on day 1, and they said they would look into a patch for this. I think the process for patches this gen is easier than it was on PS3. You would think with so few couch co-op split-screen games that devs would think to put this into their games, but it's the developer's prerogative if they do or not. If Sony made it a requirement that developers HAD to program it into their games, that's a different story, but I'm willing to bet that there is no policy about this. It's what the developer programs into the game, and obviously TT Games and whoever made Knack didn't program it into their games. You think that every game on the 360 and PS3 awards achievements/trophies for the second player? No, of course not. that's an individual developers decision to either put in or not put in support for that, no matter what whoever promised and Greg Miller tweeted. I remember reading a few months ago that people had issues with either Potter 1 or 2 with the second person not unlocking the achievements/trophies, and they issued a statement to the effect that even though the description doesn't say so, all achievements/trophies are for Player 1 only.Īlso, for the whole " no trophies for the second player on the PS4". Some Lego games even say "Single Player Only" in the achievement/trophy description (as this one does). On the 360, the second player also does not unlock the achievements, but this is the case with a lot of the Lego games. With the amount of glitches that each Lego game has had you would think that TT Games would be forthcoming with patches galore, but truth is, they really just don't seem to care once the game ships. So contacting them about a patch is a waste of time. ![]() Aside from patching both Indy 2 and Potter 1 to add online co-op (and to clarify, only 3 of the 12 Lego games have online co-op, the other being Star Wars Complete Saga), TT Games has never patched any Lego game, ever. Haha, well, you're in for some disappointment.
