![]() which I didn’t completely understand when I got to it. The story is gripping and made me want to see it through to the end. Just having finished this game for the first time, I have mixed feelings. Overall, for me absolutely not a 9/10 or 10/10 game that so many feel it is, it's not even really close in my opinion, but still an interesting and at times fun experience. Hacking got really boring quickly, especially the mind numbingly boring parts where 9S is constantly hacking in the towers. Route C was OK but nothing as amazing as people had made it out to be. Route B was an absolute waste of time in my opinion, save for a few minutes of cut scenes over the 5 or 6 hours. The lack of autosave is utterly infuriating given how prevalent in games it is nowadays, the writing can be at times either too on the nose or too abstract and confusing, the graphics aren't great for a late PS4 game, the music gets really tedious, and a lot of the game I felt was way too repetitive and boring. However, too much of the game left me with a sour taste in my mouth. there are a few areas and situations that will take your breath away. The combat I enjoyed even if a lot apparently didn't, the music is good (the first couple times you hear it at least), the voice acting is great and. I definitely appreciate aspects of the game. One of the most up and down experiences in a game I've ever played. I think I will check out the sequel in the hopes that they changes some of the awkward dialogue options and slow movements. I don't think I would replay it, because I'm OK with the result and I wouldn't want to go through it all again but I'm happy it has that option for players who are really into it. It's a bit of a creepy game, which I also liked. It's nice that it's completely different from other games I've played lately. * Movement is slow which means I didn't feel like backtracking to find Adler's letters.Īll-in-all an enjoyable OK short game. * I didn't necessarily like the characters and the things happening to them were so bizarre it kind of put me off the game a little bit. If I lingered a bit too long somewhere dialogues would start up again ![]() I didn't want to cut people off but I didn't want to wait too long for my choices to disappear * There were a few jump scare moments which I loved * I like that decisions manipulate and change the ending Add to that the frequent load screens, often between short walks through a map just for an intersection, and it would get irritating, even though the load screens were moderately quick.įive friends go to an island to hang out on the beach. My only real complaint though was all of the walking across the map to get from plot point to plot point - in a platformer, there can be a fun performance aspect, but with the slow walking and climbing characters, whenever they weren't talking it immediately became a bore. ![]() Conversely, near the end, some of the ghost speak didn't have enough distortion and felt oddly colloquial in the writing and vocal performance. The story was good, and even managed to creep me out a few times - something I didn't expect in a 2D game!! Sometimes the distortion effect on voices became too much and I struggled to follow the plot in places because of it. Play the whole game without saying anything.I liked the art style, though the character models and animations very much had that "indie/low budget" quality to them. When Clarissa asks Ren if they are ready, respond "Ooh, Good One." Accept it, and as soon as the time loop ends, tell Jonas what you did. When you go to Bridge Stand to send a signal that opens the Bomb Shelter, the ghosts will make you a proposition.
